Our Pastor
Rev. Marcus J. Wilson
Pastor Marcus Jamal Wilson is the Senior Pastor of Mt. Olive #1 M.B. Church in Collierville TN.
Pastor Wilson has led the congregation of Mt. Olive #1 since January 2023. His desire is to be a pastor pronounced by God’s own heart, preach/teach the unadulterated Gospel, and prepare God’s Church for the work of the ministry. My personal assignment is to “Bridge The Gap” through evangelism and discipleship. My heart’s desire is to lead a congregation who’s hungry to grow the ministry and outreach programs with a commitment to evangelism for the unchurched. (Jeremiah 3:15; Matthew 28:19-20)

Being a leader at Mt. Olive #1 to me means being someone that leads by example, but also leading by action without being asked. It’s being a role model to the men of the church and men of the community to be strong vessels in maintaining God’s Kingdom and doing God’s work.

Finance Director
Being a leader at Mt. Olive #1 to me is not just about being a leader but being an example within the church family that displays a person that is willing to work hard for God to inspire others using Godly given resources. It is having the ability to help guide, communicate, build trust and strong relationships within my church family to grow in God together.
Karen Hill
Women's Ministry Director
Being a leader at Mt Olive # 1 MBC means my faith in Christ is shared with others. It allows me to serve my church family as I have served others in my 30 yrs. of nursing. It permits me to offer myself by working in the ministry with women and young ladies showing love and sharing our experiences of how Christ made a difference in our lives. It displays my desire to see all of God’s creation be a part of the family of Christ and to aid in completing the vision of the pastor for our church.

Being a leader at Mt.Olive#1 means that I'm able to help equip people to follow Jesus through gospel connection ,growth ,and service. As a group, we will be able to share with others a clear testimony of our faith in Christ. Our focus will be to display discipline in our devotional lives in worship, prayer, bible study, and reflection through song.
